All powerful God, we lift up to you now those who are weathering the storms of life.  When the winds fiercely blow and the water rises higher and higher may those in the path of the storm feel your presence.  Storms can cause such great devastation, but you O God bring peace. May all who are suffering through the storm know that this too shall pass and there will be calm days ahead, but most of all may they know that you stand with them during the storm.

Help those of us who are not weathering the storm today be your hands and feet in the world showing your love to brothers and sisters who are anxious, fearful, and afraid.
