Some might say it’s the most wonderful time of the year and I would agree.  This coming Sunday, December 2nd, we will begin to prepare our hearts and minds for the upcoming celebration of Jesus’ birth by having a Hanging of the Greens Service at 11:15 AM.  If you have time to come by and help get the Christmas decorations ready on Saturday at 9 AM that would be great! If not and you can stop by earlier this week and help that would be appreciated as well.  Nancy will be working this week to secure volunteers to help with the Sunday Hanging of the Greens service so if you would like to help please let her know.

Here are a few upcoming events to help us prepare for Christmas.  

On Sunday, December 9th, Byhalia First Presbyterian Church, 2532 Church Street Byhalia, MS 38611, invites you to Christmas Melodies Concert featuring Dave Caudill, keys; Chip Houston, vocals; and Elizabeth Houston, strings.  Please join us for the free concert at 4 pm with reception to follow.

On Sunday, December 16th, everyone is invited to our annual Christmas celebration at Bethel.  Following worship we will gather in the fellowship hall for food and games. Please bring your favorite finger food to share and a $5 wrapped gift for the secret santa game.  We will also be wrapping the gifts for the 9 children of incarcerated parents who we adopted for Christmas. If you have any questions or would like to help with the children’s gifts please see Ruby or one of the Deacons.  

This would be a great season for you to invite family and friends to join us in worship!
