We continue in our celebrations of Christmastide today as we join together and celebrate Epiphany or the day the Wisemen visited the baby Jesus. Epiphany is celebrated 12 days after Christmas on January 6th each year. Since today is the closest Sunday to the date we commemorate the Magi’s visit today. The night before Epiphany is known as the Twelfth Night and historically celebrations were held on this night with people attending church the next day on Epiphany, singing, and eating three kings cake. Today, as we remember the Wisemen’s visit let us give thanks for the light of the world that no darkness can overcome, Jesus Christ our Lord.

We give thanks for our friends Dave Caudill and Chip Houston who so kindly share their talents with us each week. You will find a link to their Youtube page and the hymn for today by clicking here.
New Year’s Blessings to you all!
