January 24th Service

Greetings to you on this the Lord’s Day.  In our scripture reading today we find ourselves along the sea and hear Jesus calling to the first disciples.  The disciples were ordinary men who like us were broken and sinful, yet Christ called them and used them nonetheless.  The picture above is a picture of Japanese Kintsugi pottery that even though it is broken is made whole again by the potter.  Not only is it made whole it is made stronger and more beautiful than before.  We follow the one who can take our broken lives and make them beautiful, stronger, and whole.

Thanks once again to Dave Caudill and Chip Houston for sharing their talents and gifts with us.  You may listen to a beautiful musical selection by clicking here.

Blessings,

Rev. Melissa
