Greetings to you on this the Transfiguration of the Lord Sunday.  We celebrate today the  time when Jesus took the disciples up the mountain and shone with the glory of God.  There on the mountain Moses and Elijah joined Jesus and we heard God speak.  Christ the beloved Son, the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets, is transfigured in glory there on the mountain top.  We celebrate this miracle each year on the Sunday before Lent.  Lent our time of penitence and reflection begins this Wednesday as we remember that we are dust, and to dust we shall return.
