August 8th Service & Update

Blessings to you all on this the Lord’s Day.

I want to begin by sharing an update about safety protocols for in person worship.  The session continues to monitor the Covid-19 pandemic in our area.  As you are probably aware the case numbers, hospitalizations, and deaths from Covid-19 are on the rise.  The Delta variant has proven to be especially dangerous with breakthrough cases and higher illness rates in children.  The session has heard concerns from members and is prayerfully considering the safety of all.

At this time we encourage those attending in person worship to wear masks if possible and socially distance.  We will continue with cleaning protocols put in place earlier in the pandemic, as well as not passing the offering plates, having individually sealed communion cups, and using printed hymns.

If there are mandates put in place by local or state governments or if guidance is given by the presbytery or denomination to have more strict protocols our safety measures may change.  We pray that we will be able to continue to meet in person and we want to do everything we can to make that possible while keeping everyone safe.

If you are unable to meet in person we offer the sermon here each Sunday and post the adult Sunday School lesson on Facebook.

In Christ,

Rev. Melissa
