That was a tough gospel to preach especially because most people read it as is without benefit of knowing the Hebrew context. Well done…glad you gave us all something to think about. I have a feeling that most of us (ministers) are trying to figure out how to talk about the current situation without talking about the current situation! By giving the examples you did, you brought it into a contemporary USA life culture…that’s where people can start and then catch what Jesus is saying…excellent, Melissa.
