Blessings to all on this the Lord’s Day.  This morning we are going to hear the Old Testament lectionary reading which is a familiar story of the baby Moses.  When Madeline, my daughter, was very young she would watch the same cartoon over and over again so much so that I knew the lines by heart.  There is something comforting in hearing and doing the same thing, but we can become so familiar with it that we don’t really listen or hear.  Today, listen with new ears to a story filled with fear, faith, and fortitude.
